Who we are

A Florida prosthetics and orthotics clinic focused on real patient outcomes.

We've spent more than two decades building custom prosthetics and orthotics for the people who wear them. Not assembled. Not outsourced. Designed and fabricated by our team, fitted in our own clinic, and adjusted for as long as you need it.

Most patients come to us after the same disappointing experience: a device that doesn't fit, a clinic that doesn't return calls, paperwork no one wants to handle. We do the opposite. We answer the phone. We file the insurance. We make the device right.

MEDIXA Scanner

Digital fitting. No plaster.

Our MEDIXA scanner is the advanced digital-scanning system we use in our own clinic. A 30-second handheld scan replaces an hour of plaster casting, captures residual-limb geometry with sub-millimeter accuracy, and gets you to a comfortable fit faster.

  • 30-second handheld scan, no plaster, no mess
  • Sub-millimeter accuracy for first-time-right sockets
  • Digital file shared instantly with our fabrication lab
  • Demos available for other clinics

Frequently asked

Common questions, real answers.

How long does a fitting take, start to finish?
Most lower-limb prosthetic fittings run 2–3 weeks from initial scan to final fitting. Complex cases (myoelectric upper-limb, multi-level orthoses, pediatric growth devices) can take 4–6 weeks. We'll give you a concrete timeline at your free consultation.
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept most major insurances. Our team verifies your coverage and handles the paperwork before any work begins. We also work with charitable organizations and accept cash-pay. Call (813) 801-9110 with your insurance details and we'll confirm in the same call.
What if my current device doesn't fit?
Bring it in. We see a lot of patients who were fitted elsewhere with a device that hurts, slips, or just plain doesn't work. Sometimes a refit solves it; sometimes a new socket is the right move. Either way, the free consultation tells you which.
Do I have to live in Florida to be a patient?
No. Many of our patients travel to us, what we call destination fittings. We coordinate scan, fit, and pickup into a focused visit (usually 2–3 days on-site, with follow-up adjustments shipped or scheduled remotely). Common origin cities: Orlando, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Miami.
Can you fit pediatric patients?
Yes. Pediatric is one of our core specialties. We use adjustable, modular components that accommodate growth, and we coordinate closely with pediatric physiatrists, PTs, and OTs. Most pediatric patients see us every 6–12 months for refits.
What is MEDIXA digital scanning?
MEDIXA is a handheld 3D scanner (made by Shining3D) that captures the geometry of your residual limb in about 30 seconds, replacing the messy, hour-long plaster casting process. We use MEDIXA when it's the right tool for the fit, alongside traditional plaster casting when that better serves the patient. Results: more accurate sockets, faster fittings, and a much more comfortable scan visit.
